xpstorm accurately represents real-life scenarios and is easy to learn. Complex algorithms work behind the scenes to produce accurate representations of stormwater quantity and quality in both urban and rural environments.

xpstorm is a link-node model that performs hydrology and hydraulics of stormwater drainage systems including automatic pipe design for the entire system or just a portion of the network. There are a large number of alternative hydrology methods available for computing storm runoff hydrographs based on input rainfall events. The hydraulics layer solves the St. Venant (unsteady flow) equations throughout the drainage network and includes modeling backwater effects, flow reversals, surcharging, looped connections, pressure flow and hydraulic jumps.

xpstorm generates flow hydrographs, flood levels, pollutant loads or concentrations and analyzes water quality control devices. The software offers all the commonly accepted methods for generating stormwater runoff and is capable of modeling and comparing multiple storm events. Choose from a variety of built-in XP-Tables to display results, or create your own customized table.

The xpstorm solution engine utilizes a proprietary, integrated implicit dynamic wave solution technique that maximizes the solution speed along with accuracy, stability and robustness, even for steeply rising hydrographs and pumps.
